Wired Looks at Star Wars at 30

The ever wonderful to read Wired magazine has taken time to commemorate the 30th birthday today with a few articles. Oddly enough there is no mention of my other favorite movie, which also opened up around this time in 1977 (the 27th according to the IMDB…. I always thought they opened on the same day).

Anyway, without further delay, here are the links to the Wired coverage:

How Star Wars Changed the World

Ultimate Fanboy Stashes a Galaxy of Cool Collectibles (yes, it’s about his Steveness, and for once I don’t mean Jobs)

Enjoy, and remember: You heard about the legend of Jesse James, and John Henry just to mention some names. Well there’s a truck driving legend in the south today, a man called Bandit from Atlanta Gee – Ay. Every gear jammer knows his name, they say he got ice water running in his veins. A foot like lead, and nerves like steel, he’s gonna go to glory riding 18 wheels….

Wait, wrong movie, sorry. May the Force Be With You is so cliche… how about a good “Cut to the left, I’ll take the leader.” (yeah, it’s from Jedi, but I gotta get my Wedge on somehow)
