Just when you thought that the crisis in the housing market wouldn’t have any impact on the virtual world, Sony Online Entertainment recently announced that users with inactive accounts will lose their properties in Star Wars Galaxies.

According to Sony this signals its effort to “clean up” the virtual Star Wars universe from inactive players and make space for new ones. Active users are encouraged to participate in Sony’s virtual demolition by destroying any vacant house they like in exchange for reward points and items.

Now that’s something your local Remax agent would never offer!

This looks very cool, and I might actually try this sometime. But seriously, this is some major detail work that could take a long time, even if you can read Japanese. So, if you’ve got tons of free time on your hands, you might want to give this a shot. The plans are included. Found this on Coolest-gadgets.com for both Star Wars characters and spaceships. Good luck. You’re gonna need it.
